Cross-searching the three
main AERADE services
What are they?
Three of AERADE's main services can be cross-searched from the
home page: Aerospace and defence resources, DEVISE and ESDU Series.
- Aerospace and defence resources
- This is a free collection of nearly 4,000 quality assessed
resources that have been created worldwide. The resources are selected,
evaluated, regularly monitored and updated by information specialists according
to AERADE's Statement of Quality. The service also
contains records for over 1,700 full text technical reports which have been
harvested from the NASA Langley Technical Reports Server using OAI.
- DEVISE
- The Defence Virtual Information Service is a special
collection of quality military and defence resources focussing directly on the
information needs of the armed forces. It is produced by information
specialists from the Royal Military College of Science, Shrivenham and forms a
subset of the main aerospace and defence resources database.
- ESDU Series
- ESDU provides subscription based validated and
authoritative design data and methods for aerospace, chemical, mechanical,
process and structural engineering. Each series is produced and validated by
committees of experts coming from a broad range of industrial, academic and
research backgrounds. There is a strong emphasis on the use of unpublished
information taken from sources only available to ESDU committees. AERADE
provides access to over 1,600 ESDU data item abstracts. For information on how

local ESDU representative.
